Michelle Spring became the T Party's first guest speaker
at an event in London in January 2002. Michelle, who is the author of
five novels featuring private eye Laura Principal, spoke to the group on
the mechanics of getting a novel published. She offered advice on finding
an agent, on how to present a manuscript, and tips on promoting work.
Michelle Spring's background as a lecturer was evident, as she presented
her points concisely and comprehensively. All T Party members present
agreed that Michelle's points were extremely helpful and insightful.
T Party Chair Sara Townsend said, "We are extremely grateful to Michelle
Spring to take the time to come and talk to us, and the event was extremely
well received. As most of our members are working towards getting a novel
published, Michelle's advice was valuable and highly relevant."
